In support of the Western Springs Historical Society (WSHS), we are pleased to announce that Greenside will be supporting the next Western Springs House Walk on May 22, 2011 from 11:00AM – 5:00PM.  In the tradition of past house walks, the Historical Society will be featuring several stylish and elegant homes in the village that will be open for viewing that day.
The Society’s mission is to instill an appreciation of the village’s history among its residents through education and thoughtful preservation.  Proceeds from this benefit will go toward the many programs the Society continues to maintain for our community to enjoy.  The WSHS museum at the historic Water Tower features a variety of artifacts and memorabilia documenting the village’s history. The Society also maintains the village’s archives, including historic information about homes, businesses and past residents.
